PETG: The Tough Performer
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) bridges the gap between easy-to-print PLA and engineering-grade filaments. It's tougher, more flexible, and significantly more heat and moisture resistant.
Strengths:
- Much better impact resistance than PLA
- Heat resistant up to ~80°C
- Moisture and chemical resistant
- Good layer adhesion — strong functional parts

Weaknesses:
- More prone to stringing — requires tuning
- Slightly harder to get a perfect surface finish
- Higher print temperatures (220–250°C)
- Can be sticky — may bond to print surfaces aggressively
