No two spools are the same. BULLDOG-3D Colour-Fade PLA is a unique by-product of our UK manufacturing process — created naturally when transitioning between colours on our extrusion line. The result is a one-of-a-kind filament with colour characteristics that can't be planned, predicted, or replicated.

The story behind the fade

When we switch colours during production, something beautiful happens. The outgoing Colour blends into the incoming one — sometimes a bold Colour fading to clear, sometimes clear blooming into Colour, sometimes two shades merging into something entirely their own. Occasionally a Colour is still finding its full saturation, producing a softer, more muted tone with its own character. Rather than waste this filament, we spool it up and pass it on. Every spool is genuinely unique.
