Menhir Xtreme Lock – Premium 3D Printer Build Plate Adhesive

Struggling with warping, lifting or poor first-layer adhesion, particularly when printing technical materials?

Menhir Xtreme Lock is a premium, all-in-one build plate adhesive made in Canada. It keeps prints firmly secured during printing across a wide range of materials, from everyday filaments such as PLA and PETG through to demanding engineering polymers including PEEK, before releasing cleanly once the print is complete.

One formula replaces the need for several material-specific adhesives, making it suitable for home users, schools, print farms, businesses and engineering environments.

This listing is for the 120ml bottle, providing enough adhesive for more than 300 prints on a standard build plate.

Why Choose Xtreme Lock Bed Adhesive?

  • Wide material coverage: works with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, PEI/ULTEM, PEEK, PPSU and other technical polymers, depending on printer setup and print conditions.

  • High-temperature performance: developed for demanding heated-bed environments, with stable adhesion in applications up to 150°C or more.

  • Simple to apply: controlled, no-drip application with a built-in brush applicator — no more patchy glue stick coverage or messy sprays.

  • Easy clean-up: removes easily with water or isopropyl alcohol (IPA), so bed maintenance stays hassle-free.

  • Long-lasting: a single application typically holds for multiple prints, and one 120ml bottle covers 300+ prints on a standard bed.

Material and Build Plate Compatibility

Xtreme Lock has been tested across a broad range of filaments and print surfaces:

Ambient-temperature filaments: PLA, PETG, SimuBone, HIPS, ABS, ASA, PCTG, TPU, PC/ABS, PVA, TPE and other flexible filaments.

High-temperature filaments: PC, Nylon 6, Nylon 12, PPA, PPE/PS, PVDF, PPS, PSU, PES, PPSU, PEEK, PEKK, PEI and TPI.

Composite filaments: carbon-fibre filled, glass-fibre filled, stone-filled and glitter-filled filaments.

Build surfaces: Kapton tape, flexible plates, WhamBam plates, PEI, BuildTak, fibreglass, carbon fibre, Garolite, PCB FR4, borosilicate glass, ceramic glass, and more.

Please note: Xtreme Lock is not compatible with polypropylene (PP).

Application steps infographic: "Xtreme Lock application steps: shake, prepare surface, apply adhesive, dry, calibrate first layer, print, remove part, clean build plate"

How to Apply Xtreme Lock

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Make sure the build surface is clean, residue-free and completely cool — never apply to a hot bed.
  3. Gently squeeze the bottle to release the adhesive, then spread a thin, even layer with the brush.
  4. Leave for a few minutes to dry fully before printing.
  5. Calibrate your first layer as normal — with Xtreme Lock, an unusually low Z-offset isn't needed.
  6. Print as usual; the adhesive holds the part securely in place throughout the print.
  7. For high-temperature materials, remove the part promptly while the bed is still warm, as rapid cooling can otherwise stress glass surfaces.
  8. Clean the build plate with water or isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue before the next application.

Tip: avoid repeated applications over the same area with the applicator, and apply a thin layer with ABS in particular, as it bonds very strongly.
